I don't really see what's in common between the audio in the files this happens in but basically, in some files, my speakers start making popping noises whenever the music gets loud. I checked the audio properties in one of them and it was a regular MP3 @ 128kbps 44100Hz. I know it's not the file itself because it's fine in WMP.

I use Media Player Classic. A couple of things I noticed is that in the filters being used, there is also MPEG-1 Audio Decoder listed. Maybe it's some sort of conflict?.. Don't know... Also, I noticed that the audio bars in the AC3 filter are pretty much maxed out throughout the song so maybe it has something to do with that.

I tried uninstalling the AC3 Filter and installing the newest version. With the default settings, it still continued happening. I changed it to what I needed (5.1 speaker setup along with a few other minor changes) but obviously it continued to pop. I tried checking and unchecking almost every logical option in the AC3 Filter settings but nothing worked. I have no idea what to do in MPC to get it working. Any ideas would really be appreciated. If I can provide any more info, please let me know.

Maybe some filter is making normalization or something similar to the audio, or you have a custom equalizer working somewhere like enhancer...

Well, any of that would have to be in MPC. I never did anything like that so that can't be it. Normalization was turned on though. I unchecked it but the problem remained.
