Xvid crash

I'm getting a reproducible crash encoding a very long (16 hr) video to xvid using either virtualdub directly or xvid_encraw via megui. It seems to crash consistantly around 9hrs 6minutes into the encoding

My system is not overclocked and is otherwise perfectly stable.

Have you tried encoding in sections? Like 4hs-long sections (~4 sections), then concatenate them with VirtualDub's append function.
How big does the file get when it haults at 9hs?
You can also try CLI encoding using Avisynth + xvid_encraw.exe and check if the error appears.
