0ms delay given, but audio is out of sync? (DGIndex)

That results in audio being out of sync right off the bat. Could DGIndex be wrong?

Also, I noticed that the Timestamp resets several times throughout the DVD. Could that have anything to do with it?

Start your project in by several GOPs. Use > to step to the first non blank frame, then hit [.

If that doesn't fix it, post an unprocessed source sample including the beginning of the stream and long enough to contain a good AV sync event.

The first frame has actual content. I tried doing what you said, and I got the "unusually large audio delay" warning that says to do what you just said, but it still didn't help. I'm actually happy it didn't work, since I just spent a long time working on this in YATTA before I noticed this =\

The first significant AV sync event is when the person almost stumbles into the kid sitting against the column. He says "oto!". You can also use the fact the narration starts before the logo's gone as reference.

Now that you mention it, I never bothered playing it in a standalone. It went right into my drive :P I'll try in a little while, have to go AFK now.

I used DGSplit, is that ok? Yes, that is OK. Just don't cut anything from the start of the first VOB, because that's what sets up the AV sync.

I noticed that when you play the first VOB in DGIndex, nothing shows up in the Audio area until a few seconds in (when the actual movie starts). Also, MPC-HC seems to think that there's no audio at all because of this. I'm guessing this is what's causing it?

I'm guessing this is what's causing it? Yes. Open the VOB. Hit > 15 times and then [. Save project. Things should be OK.

If you want to keep that opening video, you'll either have to provide blank audio for it or set a really long audio delay equal to the length of that video.
