MPC-HC doesn't start playing

Hey guys, I'm new to mpc-hc and went through the guide to set up the player. However, when I load any of my mkv's or ts files containing 264, the player loads it up and says playing but no video comes up and it never goes forward from 0:00. What am I doing wrong?

You wouldn't happen to be using an ATI card and Catalyst 9.1 or 9.2?

Because that's exactly what DXVA decoding with those is like... :D

(Catalyst 9.3 fixed it...)
