OK, so I may be searching in the wrong place, but I cannot find what i am doing wrong.
Running the latest version of MKVTOOLNIX, whatever file i try to open, i get the error MKVMERGE has stopped working. When i click to close the program i get the error:
"File identification failed. return code 255. I have also had another,longer error -1073740940.
What have i installed to do this? It was working fine for a long time, then i didn't use it for a while and now it wont work. I uninstalled all codecs and files associated with video (Haali media splitter etc) and CCCP, but nothing.
I know this must be a noob question and most likely simple, but i cannot figure it out!!
