According to Miguel de Icaza's Blog http://tirania.org/blog/archive/2009/Mar-23.html VDPAU support for H.264 and VC-1 is planned as part of this years SOC, wow it's not even in Windows yet available i wonder what's going on @ Microsoft now :D
I guess it means that GPU Decoding for Silverlight is also on the way for the Windows OS it would look somehow odd if Novel (and or the Open Source Community) are gonna release it for Linux before Microsoft even did for Windows hehe, though i guess on Windows it could become a Pain to make it Secure inside the Browser (another attack vector) :D
The Register seems to have a interview with him where the plan is clearly stated http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/03/26/moonlight_nvidia/
So how is Microsoft doing Ben bringing it @ least to Vista/Win7 or even XP ?
