Stopping Zune transcode?

Hi everyone. I just got a Zune and was planning on using MeGUI/Avisynth to get videos the right size/encoding for it. However, I noticed that in the Zune software, there is no way to turn off "optimize videos for my Zune device" (I'm already optimizing them!) According to Microsoft, the Zune always does a transcode on device sync.

Anyone have any experience regarding this? I.e., if the files are already optimized for the Zune, does it transcode them yet again?

Found this in the microsoft help files it does appear to encode them again. All you can do is change the quality settings.
