Hi all,
I'm looking for a tool that will allow me to organise sets of files in folders according to their size.
More specifically, I have a folder with Terrabytes of data. I need to find a way of automatically organising this data in batches of 50GB each.
Any ideas?
Many thanks for your time

Try SizeMe (http://lars.werner.no/?page_id=2). I used to use this to group files into DVD5 sizes, for burning them. Under the Actions tab, you can set a custom size of 50 GB.

Thanks for your speedy reply. I understand that this tool creates iso images and spannes files over packages it creates.
I don't want to do any of this. I need something similar to WinZip but without splitting the files over.
Any ideas?

It'll group files based on the specified file sizes and put them in sub-folders accordingly (Right click on the grouped files and use the option Move to). Isn't that what you want? You don't have to use the image creation features if you don't want it (I don't use that part myself).

Thanks! That tool is great! Been burning disks all day here. I read this thread just as I was about to start. So far and I'm 12 disks in. I just cracked open my last box of 100 Taio Yuden DVD's. I think this is going to be my last batch of DVD's. HDD's from here on out. This is too much work.
