I fixed the video with area based deinterlace and used blur to enhance it. Is there any other stuff I can do to get better quality?

Also how can I capture 16:9 with vdub mod? I just can't find it.

1) try avisynths filtering. there are a lot of filters like yadif(), tdeint(), nnedi(), tempgaussmc() etc.
2) you only can activate filtering during capturing and use the cropping to chop off 72 each on top and bottom to achieve a 16x9 aspect ratio.

Thx but I don't want to crop the video. I can output the source in 16:9, is there really no other way then cropping the video?
- can I use the avisynths filters in vdub? Or is there some oher good gui?

You don't have to crop but it would be wise to, you can see the signaling (the white bars) at the top of the video, atleast take off 2-4 pixels from the top and left to hide that....

I'd suggest playing with deinterlace filter's as the one you have picked isn't doing a proper job.

If you just squish that to 16:9 the aspect will look all wrong, the source is 4:3 so it should stay 4:3 unless you want to crop it.

Oh sry that picture is the raw. Like I said I can output it in 16:9. I'll do some more screenshots.

Try AVIDemux, it has a good selection of deinterlace filters, you may find just what you are looking for.

The Yadiff one probably looks the best, don't forget to crop the left and you should probably resize it down to 704px wide with a lanczos3 or better filter.

Wow lanczos3 is really good with detail.

Any better filters to get the noise away? Looks better but lost too much detail. Perhaps some area based blur or something.
