View Full Version : mplayerc.exe remains in running processes, after closing program

Hi guys,

I`m using Mplayer classic Home Cinema, I love it. The only problem I`ve had is that even after I close the program, the exe file mplayerc.exe stays in the running processes. In fact it`s often multiple instances of it. Which is not just a nuisance, but can cause practical problems too, when you wanna delete or move a video file that you have watched with Mplayerc, then first you need to terminate those exes in order to be able to access the video files.

Anyone has an idea why this is happening and how to fix it?

thanks.

Happens to me occasionally if something borks - i.e. if some file doesn't open or render correctly with the given settings.

It should work fine once you have a stable configuration.

Try killing all active instances, then opening mplayerc by itself, and then setting it to fairly standard settings - i.e. using the haali renderer and no special stuff with ffdshow.

Give it a whirl.

I found the solution, in the Playback options, I had `Repeat forever` enabled, because I had a very short test video that I needed to keep running. Disabling that did the trick.
