I'm not sure how to go on... I tried denoising then debanding and using the difference mask between denoised and denoised+debanded as a base for debanding

It comes from one of the videos in the Xbox 360 game Chaos;Head Noah. It was ripped from the game DVD then captured in Crysis (it's a proprietary format, so nothing could play it properly)

Any suggestions? :3

Take a look at GradFun2DBMod, created by LaTo. His debanding function debands and adds grain only to those areas if you want it to.
