first of all, please don't judge me if i sound too stupid.
at home, we've always used windows. at the office, just last week, we switched from windows to linux. naturally it was very confusing at first, but i was still able to do the things i have to, only it takes time to find the name of the program, etc.
last friday my officemate suddenly let out a faint scream, claiming all the files she had been writing since morning was gone. we couldn't find it anywhere. we checked all the folders, and it's not in the trash. she ended up doing all the work all over again. then a few days after that, she was trying to copy a folder from the desktop to her flash drive. after it finished COPYING, she handed the flash drive to our boss so he could check it, but when he did, the folder was empty. so she checked the folder on the desktop again to copy the folder again, but it was also empty. again we checked all the folders, even the trash bin, but the files were really gone.
is it because of stupidity, ignorance, or something else (hopefully)?:thanks:
