Hi everybody!

I wanna convert .mkv files with the last VDM version, AviSynth & AVS scripts.
I did it during 2 months without any problems but i had to reinstall my PC and now i can't use VDM because i've got this error :

I know you've found the solution for YV12 codec with a change of registry valor but here i've got MKV files (with Haali Media Splitter)

Can you help me?

Thanks :)

VirtualDub can't find a proper codec for playing the file. I guess it should be H264.

So all you have to do is to install Ffdshow (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=173941) and to make sure that the VirtualDub plugin of Ffdshow (ffvdub.vdf) is located in the Plugins folder of VirtualDub.
Then go to the Start menu -> Ffdshow -> VFW Codec Configuration and in the Decoder tab -> Codecs enable the H264 codec (assuming it's H264 in your source file).

My file is a H264 video, exactly.
But I've already installed FFDshow and H264 was enabled!

Read carefully my post again.

You have to set the codec in the VFW Codec Configuration (not the Video Decoder one) AND to have the Ffdshow plugin in the VirtualDub plugins folder.

I know. It's just i've taken my screenshot with Video decoder ;)

AND to have the Ffdshow plugin in the VirtualDub plugins folder.

How i can do this?

During the installation of Ffdshow you've been asked if you wanted to install the VirtualDub plugin.

Assuming you've answered Yes, but you didn't take care about the destination folder, there are chances that the plugin is located in the Ffdshow main folder. Search for a file called "ffvdub.vdf" and copy it into the VirtualDub plugins folder.

If you don't have this file then re-install Ffdshow.

I've just copied "ffvdub.vdf" in "plugins" VirtualDub folder but the result is the same ...:(

:thanks:

EDIT : I've already reinstall FFDSHOW this morning within results ...
