I've been encoding for over 7 years and this is the first time I ever ran into something I can't fix. Few days ago I installed Vista Ultimate 64bit and tried to encode something and It wouldnt let me load warpsharp.dll and reduceflicker. I've used the same script and fixed the paths and I still get "cannot load <filter>". I like to stay on 64bit due to better gaming with my cards, but If I can't get this fixed, 32bit here I come again. Any help, hints, suggestions is greatly appreciate it!

As a last resort it's always possible to run a 32-bit virtual machine ontop of your Vista installation. The drawback is that you won't be able to use more than one physical cpu or cpu-core in that machine. (Not in VirtualBox or VirtualPC/VirtualServer anyway. Might work in VMware.)

Vista Professionnal 64bits SP1 : warpsharp (20031103) works fine here.

Check your version maybe ?

Hmmm....

I've used tons of filters on Vista x64 for over a year now. That's very strange!

I also think it's probably a version issue.

Check you have all the runtimes needed for the plugins in question installed.

That's the first thing I did when I couldn't load the filters, and it seems to be only those 2 so far, which I find very weird. I do have upto date wrapsharp and reduceflicker, but either way I redownloaded and replaced, and still nothing. Due to the nature of 64bit os, are there additional filters needs to be loaded maybe? As for runtimes, what do you mean exactly?

do I load those filters into my avs or do I place them in system32?

Under Win XP, they'd go into /system32. Under Vista, they have to be placed in /SysWow64.

BTW, I can't guarantee that those are *all* of the runtimes you might be missing. It's a "the usual suspects" package, made some years ago.

Excellent, Wrapsharp loaded just fine. I'm using the AnimeTIVTC and it requires ReduceFlicker and that's not loading still. :(
