hello

i want to create a slideshow with ffmpeg where the images are cross fading one into another. i succeded in creating a slideshow with 10 jpegs but i have no idea how to add crossfading... i am using windows. any one an idea?

Which container, which codec?
If ffmpeg is not a "must be" for You, there are different freeware-tools out there, to create a slideshow as a DVD (DVDSlideshowGUI) or avi (SlideShowMovieMaker SSMM) with tons of transitions.

WMV, MPEG, AVI, Apple Quicktime, Flash, MOV

ffmpeg is not a must have, but it has to be freeware (also for commercial use) and it has to be executed in a command line window.
