Having trouble opening a .y videostream

Hi,
I'm having trouble getting Avisynth to recognise a .y luminance-only video-stream.

Not sure what format it's in? Possibly Y8 or YUYV?
I do know it's 1920X1080.

I'm using AviSynth 2.5.7.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Where did you get the file and what is it?

You will either need a codec that convert to a pixel type acceptable to Avisynth or you could try RawSource.

can you post a sample? Maybe just the first let's say 10MB?
