So i'm trying to back up my copy of Ironman. I successfully copied it with AnyDVD HD.

I tried the tsMuxeR to isolate only the video and HD audio. Problem is when i get rid of the french/spanish/... i have no sound. When i keep everything in the 32gb file i get the movie but it's in French.

I'm pretty sure I've gotten this to work on other Blu-ray movies...am I doing something wrong with Ironman?

Is the audio format that you are trying to isolate True HD? If it is, I believe that there is a known bug concerning tsMuxer and True HD which may be causing your problems. Use search for more information.

Even if i don't isolate any audio using tsMuxeR, the large .m2ts file still plays in french with PowerDVD. This is right after copying it via AnyDVD HD and it's still in it's raw form. I actually thought the tsMuxer might help b/c i was hoping i could take off the french stuff and it would play in english but instead i just get no audio.

I'm trying one of my other blu-ray movies to see if it'll work successfully with one of them.

@PUNISHER VETTE

Hi!

Use "TSMuxer" to demux the first (English) audiostream 0 and then use "EAC3to" to covert that audiostream to .AC3.

Then use "TSMuxer" to "Remove" the original first audiostream and replace it (As the FIRST audiostream) with your new .AC3 audiostream.

Set "TSMuxer" to "Create BluRay" - and save...

Okay i tried another movie and it does the same thing.

I haven't tried the demuxing, converting, remuxing yet as that just sounds like a lot of work and i'm pretty sure there should be an easy fix to this.

I think with the tsMuxieR i just need to select the proper files and unselect the ones i don't need. But then you say there might be a problem with tsMuxier with True HD?

Right now i'm using TsRemux instead to see what that does. Basically i'm just trying different combinations of programs selecting different combinations of what i think may work and hope i can find one that does.

Are you playing your copy AS A DVD(as you should) under PowerDVD, or are you simply playing the .M2Ts file (In which case PowerDVD will simply play the FIRST audiostream it trips across)? If playing just the .M2TS file, PowerDVD will also likely ignore a DTS or a True HD audiostream.

2) If need be, the demuxing and remuxing that I described requires very little effort ;>}

Right now i'm only playing the m2ts file and it's doing what you're suggesting. Which means i'll definitely try your way next and see how much trouble it really is.

I couldn't get the EAC3to.exe i downloaded to work. It just opened up a black screen filled with a bunch of info for a second then disappears
.
If i play it like a DVD then i'd have a ton of extra stuff i'd rather not have taking up space on my hard drive. All i want is the 1080P video and TrueHD

You have to start eac3to from the command line or via the command prompt.

Okay a couple of questions.

I assume i'm demuxing the TrueHD audio from the large file and converting that.

second am I losing any audio quality turning TrueHD to an AC3 format?

And i'm doing this because PowerDVD can't play TrueHD? Which means in order for me to lose everything else i don't need/want and still be able to hear audio i need to convert the audio to something it can play?

I downloaded TsRemux v.0.0.19 and it has an option for TrueHD to AC3. Instead of using the EAC3to program can i just click that box and get it all over with in one step?

UPDATE! I got things to work.

I used TsMuxeR and made a m2ts file of only the video and TrueHD

I then used TsRemux with the TrueHD to AC3 option clicked and made a Bluray copy(I'll probably only keep the actual video part)

I'm going to try and ONLY use the TsRemux to see if that works without me actually Muxing first. But if that fails then i can always go back to the two step process.

I think this will be easier then isolating the audio/converting/removing the old, and replacing.

Okay. So now that it works and isn't too hard i'm good with that part.

But how much sound am I losing converting TrueHD to AC3?
