View Full Version : David Gilmour Blu-Ray playback issues

When I try to view video from this disc which seems to be 1080i/30 WVC1 it is all pixelated/blocky and eventually crashes MPC-HC. I have tried the wmp11 and ffmpeg decoders but it's the same. When I try to deinterlace using avisynth it also doesn't work. :confused:

Hi!

Does your BluRay disc play properly on a standalone player (or PS3)?

When that disk come out I rented it and played it on my PC with MPC HC and it was fine. :confused:

You dont need to use PowerDVD, but the Cyberlink advisor can tell you if your system has the power/harware/etc...to play BD Disks. You can find it here:

Is this "Remember That Night"? There's something weird with that disc. I was able to get it to play OK (normal speed, HW deinterlacing, and in sync) in MPC-HC by using WMV Powertoy to force DXVA in the built-in (Vista) VC1 WMO decoder. I forget whether it was Haali's splitter or the internal MPC-HC splitter that allowed it to work, but only one of them did. I used the VMR9 renderer and even got SUP subtitles working on the extras.

Thank you for this post... I was using haali splitter which turns out to be the culprit! MPC-HC internal splitter works fine :devil:
