hello guys,
first of all thank you for this great software!!
i hope you can help me:
first i used version 2.45 and i never had problems with it.
but when i decided to upgrade to 2.55 after the release the problems started:
when i wanted to compress a DVD movie to 700 MB, the output file had about 703 MB and
the tone was asynchronous of about 3-4 seconds. I just don't know what i made wrong!!
After that i wanted to get back to version 2.45 again, but when i started
the conversation there, this message appeared:
"A field order transition was detected. You may need to use the Fix d2v tool to repair this stream. Refer to the DGIndex Users Manual for details."
I already tried to deinstall and re-install the xvid-codec, but the
problem still consists!!
What can i do now??
I really hope you can help me!
Thank you very much,
hanspa

Welcome to the Forum,
What can i do now??
Go back to 2.55. Your out-of-synch audio isn't because you upgraded. It would be out-of-synch using 2.45 also.

What's the DVD, title and region? Exactly how did you decrypt it to the hard drive?

sorry that i write so late, but i didn't have any possibility to
get in the internet!!
First of all thank you for your answer!
I decryptet it to my HDD with DVD Shrink, but I don't think it's because of that.
It's no matter what DVD I want to convert, it's always out of sync, so this also can't be the problem!
I found out that the video is just out of sync if i convert with 700MB output, but if i use 1400MB output the video is in perfect sync!
so I think it could be a problem of my MP3 audio codec as the 1400MB video uses the original AC3 stream!
does anyone have experience with that?
I will try to update the codec this evening and i'll report if it was the problem or not!
Thank you very much manono!
greets, hanspa
p.s. I already got back to 2.55

What's the DVD, title and region?
If you don't answer the question, then how can you expect an intelligent reply? What I was trying to learn with my question was if you decrypted a newer DVD to the hard drive, one with newer copy protection, using the wrong decrypter. With the use of DVD Shrink, 1 of the 2 conditions have been met.
.I found out that the video is just out of sync if i convert with 700MB output, but if i use 1400MB output the video is in perfect sync!
That's very strange and I, for one, haven't ever heard that before. In any event, if the asynch is constant (if it's off by the same amount all the way through), it's easy to fix.
