Hello everybody,

here is a decription of problem what I recently encountered :

I was trying to convert one of my favourite movies from mkv full hd format /1080p/ into a hd dvd format using Sonic Cinevision & Sonic Scenarist.

I have converted video and audio with any problems, and they are well synchronised.

I have problems with subtitles (to be more precise with drop or not drop frame issue). Subtitles oryginally were synchronised with fps 23,976 and I have no clue whether it should be converted to 29,97 fps or 30 fps ?

In case of another DVD authoring tool /DVD Maestro/ it was very simple - just open a srt subtitles in a Subtitle Workshop with default settings, change input fps in for 30, change fps for 30 fps and save it as a DVD Maestro format /Spruce subtitle file *.stl/. Subtitles prepared that way worked as a charm

I'm using Subtitle Workshop , opening srt file , then I'm saving it to Substation Alpha /ssa/ format. Then I'm opening a ssa script in MaestroSBT,
setting a fps in and fps out for 30. MaestroSBT is generating a bitmaps and Scenarist ssl script, and they are imported in to Scenarist.

Subtitles created that way on the beginning of the movie are well sychronised but later on they're losing synchronisation.

Any tips ? I will be very grateful for any help.
