Hello!
I happen to have a bit problem with Intensity Pro capture card.
Since i installed it The "Update firmware " window pops up on my desktop which tells me that I can not capture until firmware is updated, so I press on update button and shortly after that another window pops up that tells me that there has been error and that firmware can not be updated and that i should restart muy computer and try again- So, I try again and again and again... nothing happens and Blackmagic support does nopt reply my emails.
How can I solve it or is it simple money thrown away-case? :(

Has it worked properly at all before? - if not it might be a defective card
Are you on Vista? if so, make sure you run as Administrator, maybe even disable UAC - the security "features" might be preventing you from updating firmware
Did you check all connections are secure / plugged in properly?

It has not worked. I installed it 2 days ago.
Yes, I have Vista (unfortunatelly). How can I run as administrator and disable UAC?
Otherwise it is installed and plugged in correctly. If I look in device manager it tells me that Intensity works.

Unistall the driver first and restart.
Install the latest driver:
http://www.blackmagic-design.com/support/software/register.asp?softwareID=308
Restart and give it a go again.

To disable UAC Press the Windows Logo Key and R at the same time. The RUN box will pop up.
Type in "msconfig" without the quotes. Then OK.
Then go to the last tab TOOLS. Scroll down the list and you will find Disable UAC. Highlight this then click on Launch button on the bottom right.
You will have to do a restart after this.

If it doesn't work yet here is the method i use:
From the Start Menu find the "Command Prompt" and right click on it. From the popup
menu select "Run as Administrator". A Command window will start.
Wriite "regedit"
Regedit popup window will open.
Go to the key
HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows NT/CurrentVersion/WinLogon.
Now add (from the Edit menu) a new key.
Name this new key "SpecialAccounts".
In HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows NT/CurrentVersion/WinLogon/SpecialAccounts
create a key named "UserList".
In HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows NT/CurrentVersion/WinLogon/SpecialAccounts/UserList
create a new DWORD entry ;
Name this entry "Administrator" and
set the value to "1"
exit and boot
