In PgcEdit v9.1 when I save the DVD with empty ProviderID, automatically, ProviderID is set to PgcEdit 9.1.
To prevent it, I should open DVD with PgcEdit v8.6 and save it; is there any way to prevent?

It's just an identifier. Not a problem. ALmost all DVD Editors ID themselves in some way, shape or form. If you don't like it, enter some custom text in this field (e.g. dashali).

I'm not at home ATM so I can't try this, but does putting in a single space character on it's own give an apparently blank result?

You're right.
In PgcEdit v8.6 I could set ProviderID to blank but in v9.1 I couldn't.
That is a problem or a prohibit for users.

As blu said, it's just a signature. You cannot see it when you play the DVD, but it might be useful if you need to remember which version of PgcEdit you have used to edit the DVD. All authoring programs and most rippers do that. Anyway, you can change it to whatever you want (but a single space does not work, as PgcEdit strips them.)
