View Full Version : Problems Viewing AVI files with MPC

I am having an issue playing certain AVI files with MPC. When playing these files, all I get is static and a black screen as the video output. I don't have this issue with every AVI file, just a handful.

Here are my specs.

* I am using Vista Ultimate x32
* Media Player Classic 6.4.9.1 revision 86
* Using the Gabest AVI Splitter.


I ran GraphStudio on the files, and this is the output. Also, when I play the files through GraphStudio, I get audio, but still a black screen for the video.

What codec was the avi compressed with?

Have you tried it with the latest Media Player Classic Home Cinema release?

If it only happens with some files, then you should disable the Gabest AVI splitter.

2) What software and procedures did you use to create these problematic .AVIs that differs from those used on other, non-problematic .AVIs you've created?
