I'm having some troubles while trying to encode a movie.

I'm using DGMPGDec 1.5.3, HC Encoder 0.23, AviSynth 2.5.8

1 - If I try to preview the movie in DGMPGDec I get an exception.

2 - I load the .d2v in HC Encoder and the resulting encode has green artifacts.

3 - If I edit a AviSynth script a preview the result the picture gets cut.

Attached are the images for all 3 issues.

The original movie was ripped using AnyDVD and is OK.

HELP!

Post a link to a fragment of the source VOB that I can use to duplicate your issue. You can use DGSplit to cut off the first 20 MB of the VOB.

neuron2,

I found the problem...I am using "Windows Server 2008 (x64)" also had this issue in "Windows Server 2003 (x64)".

Installed "Windows XP Professional (x86)" on a VMware virtual machine and all is working fine.

Could this be a 64-Bit OS issue?

Thanks

It could be a problem with something else installed on your computer such as a filter pack etc? They shouldn't load when using these programmes but something may be trying to interfere with the indexing process thats not part of the operating system normally. It may be a issue related to that codec/programme and x64 as well, and not to do with the programmes you are specifically trying to use. This is an assumption of course, based on the number of users who haven't had a problem with x64 and the stated programmes (including myself).

The only filter pack that I use is ffdshow...uninstalling this was the first thing I tried.

I have not tried this in "Windows XP Professional (x64)" and the issue could be related to the use of a Windows Server since the core of the system is slightly different from the desktop one.
