hi if someone could help me i will be so happy :) i had a copy of duran duran dvd from classic edition...a was bewared about this dvd because of skipping... and its true :) from 4:42 to 6:40.../and maybe somewhere else too/ but after i stripped out the videostream and play them alone there is no problem with... so..is this the problem with the ifo file and if, how to repair it?

What is the title and region of the DVD? How did you rip it to your hard drive? When it skips, what are you using to play it?

its region free... and a method of rip is iso via decrypter... anyway this is not the problem... its the same situation no matter if you play it original dvd on standalone player or ripped on computer...

Hi!

The following is from a review posted at Amazon, regarding your "Duran Duran 'Classic Albums' Rio" DVD:I urge all of you that purchased this disc to hold on to your receipts. I had returned 4, yes 4 of these discs from two different stores. None of them had a single scratch on them and yet they all skipped in exactly the same places for the first 15 minutes or so of the main documentary. This DVD was not made properly. I tried those discs on 2 different DVD players and my computer, and had the same problem each time. It's possible there was just a bad batch of them made that ended up in my area, but it is also possible that they are all like this. I'm just warning you guys.

However, since you've stated that:after i stripped out the videostream and play them alone there is no problem with...You might want to use DVD Flick to create a "new" DVD from the demultiplexed videostream and audiostream...

yeah thanx sorry :) i never heard about flick... but i can do that via dvd maestro, nt scenarist or dvd lab too.... it looks too complicated... not the flick but repairing the whole thing... you know, its only documentary about durans rio album...

my idea was to find reason why its skipping

If, in fact, you are able to demux BOTH the full videostream and full audiostream, you'll find DVD Flick to be extremely easy to use in creating a DVD (FAR easier than DVD Maestro, Scenarist, and DVDLab) ;>}

Here's how you do it quickly and easily, retaining the menus and anything else that might be in there:

Follow Method 2. It's really a guide about adding subs to a DVD. Just ignore all the subtitles stuff. Demux the video using PGCDemux (by PGC and not VOB ID as in that guide), reauthor using Muxman (not forgetting to add back the Celltimes.txt (chapters) in File->Import Chapter), and then do the "Replace" step using VobBlanker.
