Hello,

so after having read a LOT about Blu-Ray --> x264, I decided to try my first encode tonight. So I demuxed the mt2s file which was the main feature:

eac3to v3.04
command line: eac3to.exe "D:\Blu-Rays\***\***" 1) 2: video.h264 -demux
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
M2TS, 1 video track, 2 audio tracks, 4 subtitle tracks, 1:39:13, 24p /1.001
1: Chapters, 17 chapters
2: h264/AVC, 1080p24 /1.001 (16:9)
3: DTS Master Audio, English, 7.1 channels, 24 bits, 48khz
(core: DTS, 5.1 channels, 24 bits, 1509kbps, 48khz)
4: AC3, French, 5.1 channels, 640kbps, 48khz, dialnorm: -27dB
5: Subtitle (PGS), English
6: Subtitle (PGS), English
7: Subtitle (PGS), Spanish
8: Subtitle (PGS), French

[s06] Creating file "00141 - 6 - Subtitle (PGS), English.sup"...
[s08] Creating file "00141 - 8 - Subtitle (PGS), French.sup"...
Video track 2 contains 142729 frames.
eac3to processing took 26 minutes, 7 seconds.
Done.

Next up, I converted the DTS-MA track to ac3:

eac3to v3.04
command line: "D:\Work Folder\eac3to\eac3to.exe" "D:\Work Files\dtshd.dtshd" "D:\Work Files\dtshd.ac3"-640 -down6
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DTS Master Audio, 7.1 channels, 24 bits, 48khz
(core: DTS, 5.1 channels, 24 bits, 1509kbps, 48khz)
Decoding with ArcSoft DTS Decoder...
Mixing surround channels...
Encoding AC3 <640kbps> with libAften...
Creating file "D:\Work Files\dtshd.ac3"...
The original audio track has a constant bit depth of 24 bits.
The processed audio track has a constant bit depth of 24 bits.
eac3to processing took 14 minutes, 32 seconds.
Done.

Now, I indexed the h.264 file (raw) with DGAVCIndex.

Created an avisynth script, cropped and filtered the video, and fed it to Megui.

Finally, once encoding is done, I'm going to use Mkv muxer function in MeGui, and hope that everything is sync'd.

Is this going to work?

It should work fine, but you could and probably should have done it all in one step, unless you plan on muxing all the audio tracks and subtitles back in, there was no real need to demux, you could easily have extracted just the h264 and converted the audio file in one step. Also doing it this way will correct any sync issues and would also have fixed any delays that might be present.

eac3to "D:\Blu-Rays\***\***"" 1) 2: video.h264 3:audio.ac3 -640 -down6

Did it work?

I can't get video and audio (DTS>ac3) to sync when I remux after a simple demux DTS>ac3 conversion.
