I got the "Unable to find any cells that could be used for the layer break!" warning.
It goes on to give some sector information.
What should I do?

Hi LUK,
I started following along the guide. It seems very clear and sufficiently detailed.
I ran into a problem though. When I highlighted the appropriate Cell in Title, the Split button is grayed out. In fact, all the buttons from KeepAll and below are grayed out.

Be sure to click on the "Process" button to the right, and tick the "Process Titles" checkbox. As long as a VTS is marked as Skip, some functions are greyed out.

Hi Roiz,
- Not sure what "Process" button you mean. I know the one on the main screen at the bottom.
- The Process Titles checkbox was checked by default on startup.
I tried it again and all the buttons showed up, so I just proceeded. I don't know what I did different from the first time. I was just following the guide again.
I ran into some minor issue that I now forget and I started over. Then I had a problem of not enough disk space on my C drive, so I had to discontinue, move some files to another drive, and start over.
The second and third times I got a message that "VobBlanker_backup folder already exists and multiple backup folders is NOT selected. Video contents of VobBlanker_backup will be overwritten."
I figured that was due to repeated attempts and I just continued.
Overall it seemed quite easy. The guide is excellent in terms of describing every step and not assuming the user has any prior technical knowledge or understanding of abbreviations or lingo.

The process button is at the right of the upper listbox of the main VobBlanker window, beneath the "Menu" and "Skip" buttons. It is available only when the value of the Action column for the selected VTS is set to "Skip". Use the "Skip" and "Process" buttons to change the default state of the VTS. Of course, if the current VTS is skipped, it is useless to specify how to process it, and VobBlanker disables most of the action buttons. It is highly recommended to leave the VTS you don't need to process to "skip", as if they are marked as "process", VB will need to copy the VOB files, and that might be very slow and consume much disc space, for no reason.
I think the default state for all VTSs is set to skip when you call VobBlanker with the DVD to process in its command line (by right clicking a DVD file and selecting Open With -> VobBlanker, or from the Tools menu of PgcEdit, for example.) It is set to "process" if you open the DVD from the File menu of VobBlanker. I don't know why Jsoto did that that way.
VobBlanker works always on copies of the original files. When the process is finished and if you have ticked "use input folder", it moves the original files in a backup folder, and moves its modified files in the original DVD folder. If you launch several times VB on the same DVD, it overwrites the last backup by default, and you will not be able to return to the original state of your DVD. It has a "multiple backups" option to keep all backups instead of overwriting them. That's much more secure, and I strongly recommend to turn it on (especially if you launch VobBlanker from PgcEdit, as failure to do this will break the incremental backup feature of PgcEdit), but of course, if you work on large title domains, that will require much disc space. Anyway, when you have carefully tested the DVD, you can delete the backups.

Hi. I only got to the point where I processed the VobBlanker input on my last attempt. However, I still got that message on the 2nd and 3rd attempt. I suppose VobBlanker might have just set up the output folder or just been aware of where it was. Hopefully this burn works out, but I have the original disk and will just start over if it gets screwed up.
I'll keep that in mind about multiple backups though for the future.

The backups of VobBlanker are stored in the parent of the DVD folder. If you start over, don't forget to remove the old VB backups, or they will interfere with your new try. This is probably why you got the message again.

this often occurs if you have a FULL dual layer...never do this. I never fill it to larger than 7300 meg....always space for layer break then (unless you have no chapters).
a FULL dual layer is always a problem
