View Full Version : Nero Recode Custom Profiles?

I sometimes still use Nero Recode to aviod an Issue I have with Staxrip batch process.
However it is a pain in the butt to setup 20-30 videos in Recode. I would like to import videos file and have it do the following:
disable Crop and Resize, change the encoder to highest with 4 ref frames, enable 8x8dct and high efficiency audio with 32kbps
I have to do this for every video individually and that is a pain.
Anyway to create a custom profile so that every video will import with these settings?

I also face the same problem with my Nero Nero 8.3.6.0. No plan to go for Nero 9 though, since ASXGui 2.1.1 has provide me an easy but highly configurable way to feel the power of X264 without having any issue to setup an encoding job.

So far the only setting I can save and re-use is for encoder setting: Set the R-Frame (The max it can go is 3, I wouldn't allow me to set more than 3), Set the encoder to the highest quality and enable 8x8dct.

As for HE-Audio as well as disable Crop and Resize, I still have to do this manually one-by-one since I can't found a way to safe the setting for this.

Hope anyone here can help me with this problem.

The max it can go is 3

In Recode hit the "MORE" button and then options. Under the Nero Digital tab "Enable Classic set of Nero Digital profiles then you can pick HDTV AVC profile which will allow ref frames up to "4"

Are you describing the Nero Recode 3 in the Nero 8.3.6.0 package? I can't seem to find the option.
