Dear all;
I currently have Zoom Player Pro 6 installed but I'd also like to install VLC and perhaps some other players too. However, I'd like to know what can be done to prevent performance issues resulting from conflict.
Thank you

Hi!
VLC uses its own builtin codecs exclusively, so it won't conflict with any other players...

Also, you could just install FFDShow which can be used by the majority of players, and it can decode almost every known video codec.

I already have it. I think it came with CCCP. The thing is, I've never had problem playing back h/x.264 encoded 1080p vids (neither feature length flix nor QuickTime trailers) but the one I currently have has dramatic A/V sync issues. What could it be?
:thanks:

:thanks:Your computer is too slow. Quicktime trailers use CAVLC, which takes less CPU to decode.

BTW: The same applies to MPlayer (http://mulder.dummwiedeutsch.de/home/?page=projects#mplayer).
