Hi everyone,

I have a Bluray for SAW-5 movie and I was going to do a 720p encode but I have noticed that it haves a 7.1 Audio DTS-HD stream, so I wondered how can I encode it to DTS-ES, and what tools should I use to accomplish that?

Thanks!

You need DTS Pro Encoder.

Apart from that, you will need to decode DTS-HD MA, downmix to 6.1 and then feed the encoder. Easiest way to do all these is with eac3to (+ Arcsoft TMT for the dts decoder).

Another option you have is to extract the DTS core inside the DTS-HD stream. I believe it's only DTS-ES Matrix (5.1), but you don't need anything more than eac3to.

Question: Why do you want to make a DTS? You can use FLAC (and preserve 7.1) or just AC3.

@HSaber

Hi!I have a Bluray for SAW-5 movieWhere did you purchase it this early?

From what I've read, it's not scheduled for release until Tuesday, January 20th...

It seems that eac3to can't downmix the audio stream to 6.1 and halts after giving me this message "Can't downmix this channel configuration ($60f)
Internal error - unknown audio output format!"

I don't know what is wrong

@setarip_old I got it from usenet :)

Well, i'm not sure, but yes, i think eac3to can't downmix to 6.1. Sorry.

Are you sure you got it from there? Perhaps you don't remember well... [read the rules]
