Cam video onto dvd

how do i transfer my recorded cam video from my computer to dvd, but in file format to be played in standard dvd. sony dcr-sr45.i'm using windows xp and or vista have both. recorded dvd video plays in computers.

You will need to transcode the video to DVD compliant video stream...

There are various software packages that will transcode and author your video for DVD, i use DVD Flick (http://www.dvdflick.net/)
