hi there, been reading a lot were folks have been converting there bluray movies to dvd and watching them on standalone dvd players. well ive tryed to do this with a bluray file(wmv) and while i could watch it on my pc np, i could not watch it on my blu ray player...says it can read disc. im wondering if im doing something incorrect. i had been using tsremuxer and tryed convertxto dvd. i see others who are actually watching. tyvm in advance.

He probably means VC-1 video.

You could try to browse around this part of the forum ((HD) DVD & Blu-ray authoring) before you ask this question. There are several threads on this very subject, you know. The answer you need is probably in there somewhere.

hi folks, the file its self is wmv , or at least thats what it says when i right click on it. the idea that its not playable after i convert to dvd size has me baffled, i must say.
correction= neuron is right it is a vc-1 video. does this mean that the previously mentioned conversion WILL NOT work with vc-1?

the file was given to me from someone else, however after looking at the source it definitely the aforementioned vc-1. thanks
