Hi, first post and total n00b.

My Mrs. bought me a multi-media HD for Xmas which can also record from the TV. It records to .mpeg.

I Know VirtualDub can edit and save .avi's without re-encoding and I was just wondering if there is anything available that will do the same with .mpegs? I just want to cut out ads and tidy up recordings with out having to wait for a re-encoding. No effects or anything like that needed.

Any recommendations?

@Zann

Hi!

You can use "MPEG2Cut2.exe" (Not to be confused with the older "MPEG2Cut.exe")...

Also, can try Movica (http://vani.bhargav.googlepages.com/movica) (MpgTx).

Free Video Dub is a great non-reencoding mpeg cutter.
