DL Discs turning into coasters

Hi,
I've never had any problems with my 3320A, but I recently took the plunge and purchased some DL Discs. About a third of the way through the back-up I get that horrible thunk sound and a message stating something about being out of memory. I have 4GB of Ram on board and can't understand the problem. I'm using ripit4me andimgtoolburn. Is there something I should know before turning the rest of the spool into coasters?

1)What is the Title and Region number of the DVD you're trying to backup?

2) It is strongly suggested (by myself and a multitude of posters to this and many other forums) that the only consistently reliable DL media is Verbatim DL DVD+R
