Has anyone had any luck uploading files back into a Sony HD camcorder? (I have the HDR-HC7) I can grab files with HDVSplit and CapDVHS, but have had no luck writing a file back out to tape. I can write an ordinary DV file file, but have have had no luck with the HD ones.

Anyone have any insight?

Thanks,

Ted

DVHStool? Some people report that working.

Edius Neo has a ts writer that seems to work reliably, but isn't free. The free demo is worth a try though, at least to prove that it can be done (and so rule out other possible problems).

Cheers,
David.

David,

For some reason, the installer for DVHStool will not install on my computer (says I need admin privileges, which I do have). I'll give it a try on an older box tonight.

I did see that Edius had that option - was not really looking for an NLE at the moment. I may have to look into it as my film to video conversion project will soon have a lot of scenes that need cutting and editing. I'll look into the demo once I get all my conversions done and start editing.

Thanks,

Ted
