Anydvd issues

I am trying to make a back up of the movie wall e. Using anydvd ripper. but I am recieving the error:
'Clonemap 2'.
Have any of you encountered this error, and how did you resolve it.

What version of AnyDVD are you using?
There are no problems with Wall-E known - at least not with current versions.

I had an older version... just dl the newer one... Hopefully this will solve my issue.

in the past I have used all the other programs to make copies of the dvd,s.
Because of your special offer I decided to purchase anydvd and it came w/ clone dvd.

Last weekend decided to copy some of the latest, but on playback I ran into problems. On "Burn After Reading" the audio playback is there for the previews, but is not there for the movie. Burnt in entirety. When I playback from HDD using PowerDVD, same problem: Also playback iso with VLC, same thing.

On "Mirors" everything is fine untill I get towards the end of the movie then a get freezing, probably the last 2 or 3 minutes of the movie. Can't be a buffering problem.

Does it matter that I am using Vista Ultimate x64.

I will reburn using another program this coming weekend and see what happens. Just kinda a heads up, v6.5.2.2

I doubt very much that this is due to a problem with CloneDVD, it's certainly not a problem with AnyDVD. All depends on what settings you used, what audio tracks you chose to copy and what not.

On the Mirrors problem, appears that the playback player was the problem.

On the Burn after Reading, possible that on that particular burn there were like 8 or 10 "other" under audio tracks. I had unchecked them as I am only interested in the 1 Language. Would appear that they were indeed needed.

These on that particular weekend was burnt on the fly to iso then also to dvd disc. Normally burn to iso, then iso to disc, kinda experimenting.

No succcess in ripping BD Hellboy2 Region B with anyDVD (latest 6.5.4.2.4 beta).
After long (3....5 minutes) disc examination ripping eventually starts but terminates with a read error at about 37%. I noticed when approaching the 37% the ripping speed decreases gradually from about 3MB/s to 0.09MB/s. Is this an indication af a faulty disc?

Playback of the original disc on PC possible (after 3....5 minutes loading phase), starting with annoyingly stuttering studio logo, then menu selection ok and movie playback mostly ok with exception of 1 stuttering zone at about 50% of the movie. When skipping that zone (next chapter) rest of the movie plays ok.
Should I return the disk to the shop?

Yep - probably faulty. No problems known with that particular disc - coincidentally, I even have HB II region B here.

Strange enough, at the end anyDVD made it:
I noticed that with every re-start after an error, a little more got ripped until failure, i.e. the rip got a little more down the lane.
After about 8 times starting the rip from scratch again, I finally got the entire disc done to the end. Not mentioning how long the rip took after all.....
Any rationale behind this behaviour, or just magic??

I am still wondering why I could eventually rip it in about 10 successive attempts only, each getting a little further.
A thermal effect?? I guess the disk is probably faulty or otherwise at the edge of readability. I will return it to the shop and ask for replacement.

I would agree with Setarip_old as well as your conclusion that you should return the disc for a new copy. I have actually purchased BD discs that were defective "out of the box" (i.e. they were brand new). While this is probably somewhat rare, it does occur unfortunately.

Heat sometimes allows the disc to read because all BD titles information is labeled onto the disk. Heat causes the disc labeling to seat onto the disc. Sometimes using a hair drier to heat the disc allows me to get information off of them...:)
