Hi all , i want fast converter to convert from mkv to avi cause i have it for dvd player . I've alot of programs but ... some programs take a long time for example AllToAvi it takes over 2 hour ive tryed some converter other like Total Video Converter but its not great cause sometimes it change the FPS and subtitles comes later etc etc..

So i want one converter fast and simple to convert from MKV to AVI for dvd player .

good luck.
i mean, converting video and audio formats require time.
however you can check the streams into the .mkv and see if they can be muxed into an avi file. that wont require much time (just a matter of minutes) but it is possible those streams are not compatible with the avi container and/or your dvd player.

It might be simpler to convert your original source material (from which you created the MKV files) directly to .AVIs...

However what you prefer to me i think which programs/program i need to use to convert from MKV to AVI ( for dvd player ) , i want just to open file and settings size,audio ... not to extract first from mkv and to mux in avi .

I want one program for over 1 Hour to be ready ,converting from mkv to avi

It's far easier for you to do what setarip_old recommended and re-encode from your original DVD source to an MPEG-4.avi file....

From what I've read here there seem to be 2 options (pick the appropriate one):


Use your DVD as the source for your conversion to AVI.
If you :Dlost:D your DVD, buy it again and continue with option 1.

wait haha , thats good option but its not for me .

Cause i have backup of movies in my PC in .MKV format . And i want to convert into .AVI to watch in my dvd player with USB .

Its easy for me just to copy&paste in USB .AVI files , because there are alot of programs to covert movies in dvd but i don't want .

Ive tryed MKV Extract and mux files with .AVI-Mux GUI but the codec is h264 and my dvd player read just divx,xvid not h264 .

So is anyway to convert from H264 to Divx .

There is simply no reason to. Take your original DVD and encode it to divx or xvid. anything else would result in massive quality losses that wouldn't be recommended under any circumstances. (not to mention that I have my doubts that your content isn't downloaded...)

Yeah, funny how those DVD you torrent these days always seem to be H.264 in MKV container. They clearly weren't looking out for you and your DVD player. Better luck next time.
