Hi everybody, I have a quick question.

I've been wondering if PS3 and iPhone would support a video with AC3 audio input. I was thinking to convert my videos to AAC, but I read somewhere that AC3 is better quality than AAC when compressed so I am just wondering if the AC3 would be supported by standalone devices like PS3 and iPhone?

Cheers :)

I don't know iPhone but PS3 support AC3 in Audio/Video containers.

Apparently iPhone does support AAC. So I guess the best way to convert to AAC is to use Nero AAC with MeGui?

You can use MeGUI or BeHappy (same than MeGUI but only for audio and with some more functions).

But also you can use eac3to, Foobar2000, command line options,...

Remember don't exist an absolute 'best way'

I guess what I tried to say is what's the app with more functions when it comes to AAC encoding... I will try BeHappy

thanks for your help tebasuna
