not sure why... had to use SUPER, which work well enough..

I do prefer Autogk for encoding the media to playback in my DVD Player..

Derek.. thought you should know...

What does GSpot say about audio type of the input file?

I've had this issue with AutoGK too. Sometimes mp3 encoded audio shows up strangely when you open an .avi file and you get this unsupported audio type error.

Gspot appears normal:

0x0055 MPEG-1 Layer 3
48000Hz 129 kb/s tot , Joint Stereo

MPEG-1/2 L3 2ch seems to be the problem here.

Hi and welcome to the forum,

Please refer to FAQ n° 5.12 and 5.12.1
In short : keep the original; if unsupported audio type see 5.12.1 workaround.

@Dirkrage

Where did you get the AVI file and why don't you encode from your original source material?

Will this sort out the problem using VirtualDub?

1. Completely extract the audio stream into an uncompressed WAV file (keeping the original audio format)
2. Convert the created WAV file to a constant bitrate (CBR) MP3 file
3. Finally, replace the original audio stream from the media file with the fixed MP3 encoded file

Hi again,

Sorry the origin of your AVI file is questionned by a moderator; until this point is cleared (rule 6) the forum members are asked to postpone any help.

Better answer to the query (rule 16).

Hi,

I may have seen a post following mine now deleted or removed; if so the author is welcome to send me a PM.
If no post paranoia is back :(

It was an OT post discussing forum rules and demonstrating a misunderstanding of such. It had no content relevant to this thread and so was deleted.
