MKV Playback/Colour Problems

Hi

When I play MKV files through Media Player Classic the colours keep going dark then pale. If I play the same file through VLC everythings fine.

The only problem is MPC is better.

Any ideas why this is?

Tried that but still have the same problem. Could it be a codec issue? If so what would be the best way to fix it? Also this is only an issue when watching in full screen

In mpc-hc click "play" -> "shaders" -> "16-235 -> 0-255". For shaders to work a suitable renderer (VMR7, VMR9 or EVR) must be selected under "view" -> "options" -> "Playback" -> "Output".

edit: Changing the renderer alone might fix it, so try that first before you turn on the shader.
