Senior Software Developer – Video Transcoding/Codecs
We're looking for a senior software developer to join our team. Job will require occasional travel to New York and Tahoe on occasion for face-to-face meetings; can work remotely the majority of the time.
We are working with major media companies to ingest, transcode, and publish their content for broadcast and online distribution. It's a key opportunity to get behind the scenes in this new wave of video distribution.
Looking for a self-starter, someone with solid media experience (familiar with WMV/VC-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4/H.264, AAC, AC3, etc), someone with deep object-oriented systems background, and someone with commercial product experience in a related area. Occasional customer exposure and travel will be required.
Primary responsibilities include implementing .NET class libraries and services, in the areas of media transcoding, asset management, and digital distribution. Ideal candidate must have proven record of developing commercial software applications and/or services. Experience writing object-oriented software using C#/C++ required. Background in distributed application development, scalable/pluggable application architectures, and SOAP/REST web services preferred. Experience with video and audio compression APIs and DirectShow. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and strong problem solving skills are preferred.
Software Support Engineer –Video Transcoding/Codecs
We're looking for a software developer to join our team. we need a blend of an experienced software developer with video codec experience (MPEG-2, H.264, WMV, etc), and customer-facing support engineer.
We are working with major media companies to ingest, transcode, and publish their content for broadcast and online distribution. it's a key opportunity to get behind the scenes in this new wave of video distribution. we are a rapidly growing company - over 100%/yr growth - with an expanding set of Fortune 100 companies, and are looking for very strong candidates to join our core team.
Looking for a self-starter who can hit the ground running, and someone with commercial product experience in a related area (media transcoding, asset management, digital distribution). the ideal candidate will have a proven record of developing commercial software applications and/or services.
We need a developer who excels in a dynamic environment, and can adapt to changing customer requirements. this developer would be part of the front-line support team for customers. in addition to daily development work, this developer would be tasked with fulfilling customer change requests, troubleshooting and running acceptance tests at customer sites for transcoding settings.
This candidate will be a liaison between the development team and the technology/IT team. they will assist in customer deployments, handle support calls, and work with customers on feature requirement gathering.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and strong problem solving skills are required. written communication includes the authoring of internal blog postings, wikis, and external whitepapers. verbal communication includes email, IM communication and being involved in weekly conference calls with our team and customers.
