How did you copy a dvd is it a original dvd if so i don't know how you copied it they have protection on the you have to rip them with smart ripper then use prassi to burn them back to a dvdr

If the source DVD has no protection codes on it (some asian movie/anime/pirated/porn), you can use the included Prassi PrimoDVD or even Nero (not included). If your recorded DVD plays on your PC but not on your standalone DVD player, then the problem lies on your media.

Hello,
If you do not mind burning at 1x (almost all none-pioneer certified / qualified DVD-R will not burn at 2x due to limitations set INTENTIONALLY on the bios, and currently there is no "crack" for that),
http://store.yahoo.com/cd-recordable-dot-com/dvdrcdrw.html
offers the best pricing I can find, and the quality seems to be good (no coasters yet). They also have double sided DVD-R's at very reasonable price.
Most importantly, those media seem to work well with this particular drive and have little problem with playback on PC DVD-Rom drives. As for play back on standalone DVD players, you simply have to find out yourself then.
