View Full Version : H.264 with DTS skips frames, AC3 ok

Hi all,

I have a number of H.264 23.976fps movies with AC3 or DTS audio, and my video card and TV are set to 60hz via HDMI.

The video codec is CoreAVC 1.8.5, and the audio plays via ffdshow and directly through S/PDIF to a 5.1 amp.

I can notice a speed-up in the video (frame skip) every ~5 seconds, and this only happens if video has a DTS track.

I can see that ffdshow has settings for DTS, AC3 and S/PDIF, but cannot fix this problem no matter what I try.

I really appreciate your feedback and assistance with this.

Riado

Shall I choose a random forum, or will you tell me which one you want?

What are your computer specs? And what video player do you use?

Also, have you tried another filter for DTS? If not, you could try AC3filter (http://ac3filter.net/) and enable SPDIF.

Hi, thank you for trying to help.

I discovered that my TV supports 24hz, so I have started using it with my 23.976/24fps movies with ReClock and it's working very good for both AC3 and DTS. Also it's smoother than 60hz.

Thanks again,
Riado
