The digital copy that come with select BD tiles that give you an option of M4v or WMA for your portable device. after you enter a unique code.

I fail to understand the problem since the code is provided, unless you want to use a friends disk which would be illegal. If what you are asking is that you want to use the M4V file on a portable device you can import it and then decrypt it with a program called requiem 1.8.2 if you have iTunes 8.0.1 or lower.

I have two versions of TheDarkKnight on Blu, a normal edition and a Steelbook. Now I have two versions of the digital copy disc with two distinct codes. But hey I have to go through a proxy to activate my copy cuz of DRM then, after some time it says the licence has expired on both.

that is why you need to rip stuff,for fair use, viewing copies u bought!!!!

Should you be forced to install I-tunes on your PC just because you want to place the M4v on a device that does not communicate with the apple software?

Those digital copies are stupid. Why do people fall for that. I throw them out and make my own

Exactly , I make full 1080p rips and play them from my media server,
but I would have saved time encoding for I-pod/Psp if the goddamn digital copy worked. It takes time to recode 1080 into smaller size.

Unfortunately, for .m4v digital copy, you have to. But that's not the end of it. Once you 'synced' your digital copy to iTunes by entering the voucher code, the digital copy is copied to your harddisk. You will need the program called "censored" to apply your Fair Use rights, then the un-drm-ed .m4v (or .mp4) can be copied and playback on devices other than apple devices (ipod, iphone etc.).
