AviSynth 2.5.8

Now that this is on its final stable release, will you be updating the install to take advantage of the bugfixes and additional features

Anybody using the latest 2.5.8, I just tried but it came back telling me the encoder wasn't working, I use HC

So reinstalled 2.5.7 and things are back to normal



2.5.8 shouldn't be that different, but I'll try again when I have a bit more time to sit down and see what went wrong

There are a couple of things I want to look at that are only available in 2.5.8, plus some filters or functions will eventually only work with 2.5.8, like happened with 2.5.7 when that became stable

I've been using 2.5.8 for ages now with no troubles. I use HC and Procoder.

I'll try again, all I did was install it using the official avisynth 2.58 installer overwriting the already installed 2.5.7

I know you shouldn't really do that, but it was a quick 'will it work' test


If this is the latest stable release, I'll wait until MT is patched (I hope) to support 2.5.8, as even on my quad core Q6600 it at least doubles the speed when using the mega slow functions and filters I play with now and then
