I'm testing TMPEG enc Express.
Doing side by side compare with others encoders.
Some options in Qenc drived my attention:
Closed GOP is good or bad? After some reading, is bad open only if you want ramdom access (chapters). But i remember someone here saying that closed gops are bad for slow motion, and reverse playback.
confused
Detect scene change (and insert keyframes i guess) is goo or bad?
TMpeg enc reccomends it but i remember someone (not here) saying that it breaks the standard GOP order (inserting kef frames random)
Me -> Confused
Plus: what means the differents muxing options in the in mpegenc advanced mode (VCD standard, VCD non standard, DVD etc). All of them creates MPEG files or VOBs and DATs?
Thanks
