VobBlanker error: Max LU limit

hello all,

i'm trying to process a DVD9 with VobBlanker 2.1.3.0,
and when i open VIDEO_TS.IFO it starts scanning
but at the 'Getting Menu Data...' phase it outputs an error:
"ERROR: Max LU limit (25) has been reached."
and stops the scan.

tested on 2 different computers, same error.
i use the default VobBlanker settings.

any suggestions?

I bet it is the Dark Knight. Your rip need to adjust for those VTSs that have 600 LUs in them. Get a better ripper.

you're right, its the dark knight.

can you elaborate a bit on what are those LUs? i've never encountered such an error before..

LU is a "Language Unit" of a VTS menu. Regarding The Dark Knight: some VTS menus are crafted to fool various rippers to make ripping more difficult.
Anyway, in R2 release of The Dark Knight I simply deleted all VTS from 4 to 8 (or was that 9?), simply because the titles contained in them were reported as "not used" by PgcEdit 9.0

M_Knox, thanks. i too have the R2, it contains 10 VTSs.

i moved VTSs 4-10 from the directory and tried again loading it in vobblanker and it loaded fine now,
although it gave me a warning that there are only 3 ifo files where there should be 10 ifo files (obviously, because i moved 4-10).

any way to "cleanly" delete those VTSs without getting that error?

Use PgcEdit 9.0. This new version has alot of features, that would help get rid of unwanted stuff with one click, but I prefer to use my wetware and I recommend using DVD->Delete last VTS in DVD menu command as many times as needed (7 in this case) :)

thanks, M_Knox, that worked. now vobblanker loads it properly.

just for the heck of it i also tried to load the original dvd9 rip with pgcedit 8.6, no go. it stuck on reading VTS_06_0.IFO, aswell as ifoedit.
so i guess the new pgcedit version is quite powerful :)

Try PgcEdit v9.

r0lZ, thats what i did. fixed it with v9. just mentioned that v8.6 couldnt handle it.
