Hi
How do I do to copy a program from CD to hard drive, in such a way I can run it directly from hard drive? When I try it there is always one file that refuses to be copied to hard drive.
Thanks.

That could possibly be considered off-topic for Doom9, but hopefully not. It's probably copy protected, in which case you could try clone cd or alcohol 120%.

the file blocked maybe autorun.inf-if so, no problem, copy to hd, run setup.exe. autorun.inf is needed to start installation automatically when you insert cd. for the same reason, it very often carries virus or trojan, and at least some of the antivirus progs block copying of that file.

Hi
Thanks for the tips. With alcohol 120% I really can clone the cd. Nevertheless the question is Laserlok protection. I am able to copy 2 of the 3 files of the LASERLOK director (LASERLOK.LL1 and LASERLOK.LL2), but when I tried to copy the last one Laserlok.out I failed. That is I need to have the file to run the program. And I don't want a virtual drive. I want to have the program cloned into an external hard drive witch I can use with another computer. So the question is:
-there is any way to bypass the laserlok protection and copy that file? Or,
-there is any way to clone a cd to an external hard drive? Because the cloning programs always ask for a CD/DVD drive, as output.
Thanks.

LaserLok is a game copy protection scheme. Just search the web for the name of the game and "nocd" and you won't need the disk in the drive.

@velasques
If, as indicated by "CWR03", this is about game software, you might want to click on the folowing two links (The first of which is regarding a moderator-closed thread):
