Hi,
I bought a ASUS My Cinema P7131 capture card and an LG LV-4787 VHS VCR just to capture some old family tapes. The tapes are still fine and look probably as good as possible for their age. I've tested the capture card with my DVD player at first and captured video and audio in 720*576 with 25fps with the Lagarith codec in virtual dub. Everything is fine ... no problem there.
But when I connected my VCR the picture is totally broken ... it looks like it loses it's synchronization or it's getting smashed by some sort of MacroVision garbage. But this happens even when no tape is inserted, the picture is stuttering with flickering colors and nothing can be seen at all.
Does anyone have an idea on how to get rid of it? Or what is the problem here?
thank your very much.
