DVD with 1 VTS and Multi PGS to xvid - totally not sync

Hi,

I am having big problems with a DVD which has only one VTS, devided into multiple PGS. Means that every chapter of the movie is a PGS of its own.

I ripped the DVD using Dvd Decrypter (File Method) and then selected the beginning and the end of the entire movie in DGIndex.

I also tried ripping every PGS (IFO Method) and loading all the 20 VOBS to create the d2v.

Anyway... When I encode the DVD using GKnot (not Auto GK) I am having mayor sync issues. I tried mp3 sound as well as the original AC3 file.

I also tried to interleave the movie after encoding with Nandub. But when one scene is sync, the other one from another scene is not sync anymore.

Any idea how I can encode the entire movie with fixed sound?

What is the Title and Region number of your original DVD?

Try to use RipIt4Me (Version 1.7.1.0) (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/RipIt4Me) + DVD decrypter.

Is this one movie or multiple videos ripped individually? You may have issues with the original audio lengths not corresponding exactly to the video, something you'd have to correct manually for each file.

PLease let the OP confirm, as some may say "movie" indicating their end file when they're assembling many parts of something from a disk.

This is how I had to do it:

Rip the whole DVD with DVD Ripper.
Select the movie length in DGIndex.
Encode the Movie with Gknot to xvid.
Cut every part of the xvid which had an own PGS (6 PGS) to its length with Vdubmod.
Then fix the sound with interleaving for each cut part: AVI of PGS_1 had +450, PGS_2 +600, PGS3_900 etc... this was different for EVERY PGS and totally random.
Join the fixed parts to one file again.

I have no idea why it was as it was but at the end I managed to fix it after 1,5 hours.

As setarip_old asked, what is the title and region of your disk? Some cannot be processed properly with DVD Decrypter alone, but there are programs that can do it.

Correct

Its an Adult Movie with no region number.

I was told it's beacuse they re using PCM instead of AC3 on the DVD...

a simple fix to this problem would be to demux your audio , video and all streams present in the vob headers to one location using *PGCDEMUX*( open the VTS's .ifo in it and select output foldeR ) , it rips based on pgc programming so it will give you ONE big video file ( the whole dvd's video in one vob ) and the whole audio together , just rip using that and you wont face any sync issues ;)
